globainsight Acquires Berlin-Based QualTech Startup DeepVoice for $85M

globainsight today announced the acquisition of DeepVoice, a Berlin-based startup whose AI-powered platform analyses qualitative interview recordings — including video, audio, and transcript data — to surface themes, sentiment patterns, and consumer language at scale. The $85 million acquisition marks globainsight's entry into AI-powered qualitative research and represents the company's largest technology acquisition to date.

DeepVoice's technology uses transformer-based models fine-tuned on over 100,000 hours of consumer interviews to identify themes, code responses against custom frameworks, and extract consumer verbatims that best illustrate each finding. What previously took qualitative researchers weeks — listening to 80 hour-long interviews, manually coding themes, and selecting illustrative quotes — can now be accomplished in minutes, with the AI handling processing while researchers focus on interpretation and meaning.

'Qualitative research is the richest source of consumer understanding, but it's been stubbornly resistant to scale,' said Priya Sharma, Chief Product Officer. 'DeepVoice doesn't replace qualitative researchers — it removes the administrative burden that keeps them from doing their best work. A researcher who used to spend 60% of their time on transcription and coding can now spend 90% on interpretation and strategy.'

The DeepVoice team of 45 engineers and researchers will form the core of globainsight's new QualTech division, based in Berlin. The technology will be integrated into the globainsight AI Analytics suite over the next two quarters, with an initial release supporting English, German, French, Spanish, and Mandarin Chinese.
