globainsight Opens Mexico City Tech Hub, Doubling Latin American Engineering Capacity

globainsight today inaugurated its Mexico City technology hub, a 15,000-square-foot engineering centre that will house 50 engineers, AI researchers, and data scientists — doubling the company's engineering capacity in Latin America. The hub will focus on multilingual natural language processing models, real-time survey infrastructure, and mobile-first research experiences for the Americas region.

The Mexico City hub is globainsight's sixth global engineering centre, joining existing hubs in London, Berlin, Singapore, Bangalore, and San Francisco. The company selected Mexico City for its deep pool of AI and NLP talent, with over 40 universities in the greater metropolitan area producing engineering graduates, and its strategic position for serving both North and Latin American markets.

'The multilingual challenge in consumer research is enormous and underserved,' said Marco Liu, VP of AI and Data. 'A survey question that works perfectly in English can be culturally meaningless in Spanish or Portuguese. Our Mexico City team will lead development of NLP models that understand not just language, but cultural context — ensuring surveys are truly equivalent across the Americas.'

The Mexican government's Secretary of Economy welcomed the investment, noting that globainsight's presence adds to Mexico City's growing reputation as a hub for AI research and development. globainsight is partnering with UNAM and Tec de Monterrey on a joint AI research programme that will fund 20 graduate research positions annually.
